Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Specialist Gynecologist / Obstetrician & Gynecologist (OB-GYN) to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive medical care to women, including preventive care, diagnosis and treatment of gynecological conditions, antenatal and postnatal care, labor and delivery management, and gynecological surgical procedures. The ideal candidate should be committed to delivering exceptional patient care while maintaining the highest standards of medical ethics and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat gynecological disorders and reproductive health conditions.
- Provide routine gynecological examinations, cervical cancer screening, and preventive healthcare services.
- Manage antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care for pregnant patients.
- Monitor high-risk pregnancies and provide appropriate treatment and referrals when necessary.
- Conduct normal and assisted deliveries, including emergency obstetric care.
- Perform gynecological surgeries and procedures as per specialty and clinical privileges.
- Counsel patients on family planning, contraception, fertility, menopause, and reproductive health.
- Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with hospital policies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education activities.
Qualifications
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
- MD/MS/DNB or equivalent qualification in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
- Valid medical license or eligibility for licensing in Oman.
- Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialization clinical experience preferred.
- Proficiency in obstetric emergencies, gynecological procedures, and women’s health management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient counseling skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in laparoscopic and minimally invasive gynecological surgeries.
- Expertise in managing high-risk pregnancies.
- Knowledge of infertility evaluation and management.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Strong commitment to patient safety, quality care, and ethical medical practice.
