Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Internal Medicine Specialist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of adult medical conditions. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive patient care, promote preventive healthcare, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions affecting adult patients.
- Conduct comprehensive medical assessments, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
- Prescribe medications and recommend appropriate therapies and lifestyle modifications.
- Interpret laboratory results, imaging studies, and other diagnostic investigations.
- Manage patients with complex and multiple medical conditions.
- Provide preventive healthcare services, including health screenings and patient education.
- Coordinate referrals to other specialists when required.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education programs.
Qualifications
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
- MD/DNB or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine.
- Valid medical license or eligibility for licensing in Oman.
- Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialization clinical experience preferred.
- Strong clinical decision-making and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in managing chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, respiratory disorders, and infectious diseases.
- Knowledge of evidence-based medical practice and preventive healthcare.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and continuous professional development.
