Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Dermatologist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of skin, hair, and nail disorders. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care through medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology services while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat diseases and conditions affecting the skin, hair, and nails.
- Conduct comprehensive patient consultations, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Perform dermatological procedures, including skin biopsies, cryotherapy, excisions, and minor surgical interventions.
- Diagnose and manage chronic skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, acne, dermatitis, fungal infections, and skin allergies.
- Screen for and manage skin cancers and other dermatological malignancies.
- Provide cosmetic dermatology treatments where applicable, including chemical peels, laser procedures, Botox, fillers, and scar management, within the scope of clinical privileges.
- Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Educate patients on skincare, disease prevention, and treatment compliance.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and continuing medical education programs.
Qualifications
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
- MD, DDVL, DNB, or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Dermatology.
- Valid medical license or eligibility for licensing in Oman.
- Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialization clinical experience preferred.
- Strong diagnostic and procedural dermatology skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient counseling abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.
- Proficiency in dermoscopy, skin biopsies, laser treatments, and aesthetic procedures.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and continuous professional development.
