Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant Specialist with strong expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (ERP) and in-depth knowledge of Oman VAT regulations and compliance. The ideal candidate will manage financial transactions, ensure VAT compliance, support ERP operations, and deliver accurate financial reporting in line with local regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Management
– Maintain accurate financial records including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
– Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
– Perform bank and account reconciliations.
– Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
ERP System (Microsoft Business Central)
– Manage accounting modules within Dynamics 365 Business Central.
– Configure chart of accounts and posting groups.
– Support ERP improvements and troubleshooting.
– Generate financial reports from the system.
Oman VAT Compliance
– Ensure compliance with Oman VAT laws and regulations.
– Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time.
– Handle VAT calculations, reconciliations, and adjustments.
– Review VAT transactions and maintain proper documentation.
Requirements
Education
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Experience
– 3–5 years of accounting experience.
– Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
– Experience with Oman VAT compliance.
Technical Skills
– Strong ERP knowledge.
– Understanding of VAT regulations in Oman.
– Advanced Excel skills.
